Reading sessions for under eights
DADS are being encouraged to spend more time reading to their children in story time sessions in Kenton.
The idea is to get fathers, with children under the age of eight, to bring their child along to the groups where they will listen to library staff reading out stories, play a mixture of games and take part in one to one reading sessions.

The sessions will be held on Saturday mornings at the Kenton Learning Centre, in Glebe Avenue, Kenton in conjunction with Kenton Library, and Simon Smith, a librarian there has praised the idea.
He said: "We want to encourage dads to find the time to do this.
"We appreciate many of them may be busy with work and get home later but we hope these sessions open their eyes to how much fun reading with their children can be.
"It is especially vital that boys see men in their families enjoying books so they don't think reading is just for girls."
The first session will be run on November 14th from 10.30 to 11.30am.
